The show is incredible, visually. I think the writing is good in a lot of ways, but I found myself unsure why certain things were happening. In hindsight, I could come up with justifications, but after a few of these instances I realized the show was moving a little too fast to accomplish what it wanted to. It sounds like* the show was likely planned for a few more seasons, but they decided to compress it down to one final season, which I think is the core problem with the season. I still enjoyed watching it, but I'm not sure I would be all that excited to revisit it.
